I like Jeellyfin. I switch off Plex due some issue with my corporate laptop polices. I've a Jellyfin Windows server installed and the client is the Android TV on a Nvidia Shield.
I've some issue about the embedded subtitle into most of mkv that I've. I got loading subtitle error failed and no issue if I extract and Srt as external file.

Can you share your logs with us? What are your system specs? Did you enable on-the-fly subtitle extraction?

Also, have you tried using the "Subtitle Extract" plugin? It will pre-extract your subtitles instead of on-the-fly.

No, I'll try but I've no problems to extract the subtitle before playing the video with some other utilitysuch as gMKVExtractGUI

I see that you are on 10.8.12. Can you upgraded to .13? I recall that there was a fix for a subtitle related bug.
