(I assume Chromecast falls under the umbrella of "Android TV"?)

I changed from Plex to Jellyfin some 6 months ago, and never looked back. Except... I really miss the option to delay or advance subtitles.

I spent some time searching for programs/scripts that claim to synchronise subtitles based on the sound "waves" of a video file, but the results are mixed.

I found a feature request about implementing this feature (https://features.jellyfin.org/posts/178/...ming-delay), and apparently, the option was added to the web "app" (if that is the correct terminology) in 2019. But there's surprisingly little discussion about it for other platforms, such as the Chromecast (which I assume is quite popular). So I'm wondering whether that feature is in the pipeline?

And if not, whether it's a big undertaking to put it in it? Winking-face (I like fiddling with code myself, so I'm not against giving this a go myself; but I fear it's too tall an order for me - at least without guidance...)

I've always had this issue myself with my Chromecast (with Google TV). Most of the time it's fine, until I have to rewind back like 10 seconds or so. It throws the subtitle timing off, and I often have to exit the app to get it back on track. I've only noticed this issue with external subtitles and not with mkv files that have embedded subtitles. I suspect there aren't enough people who own this CGwGTV and complain about this problem.
