    Server V10.10.2 Windows install

I used to play movies and shows no problem.  All of the sudden I click on any content either via Android app or web browser and I just get the rotating loading circle.  The only log entry that gets posted is:

Jellyfin.Api.Helpers.MediaInfoHelper: User policy for "admin". EnablePlaybackRemuxing: True EnableVideoPlaybackTranscoding: False EnableAudioPlaybackTranscoding: False

Is there additional debugging I can enable?

    Thx

Go to Dashboard -> Users and in your account make sure you have the below settings enabled
Then, navigate to Dashboard -> Transcoding and enable transcoding, if your server supports it.

I specifically disabled transcoding though..... I want to watch at original bitrate and not tax my server (more watts).

If the client can't play the media in its original format, it will need a transcode. Transcoding does not happen for the lulz. It happens only when needed. It sounds like whatever new media you have may need transcoding. But we'd need to know the media/codec info for this video and what specific devices you have.

All my clients used to be able to stream with no problems.  My server doesn't have a gpu so enabling transcoding works but there is major stutter.

    Server: 10.10.2 on Windows 10 native Thinkcentre m910q i7 7700t

I did a full uninstall and reinstall of server.

    Clients that work:
    2 x 2019 Nvidia Shield TV Pro's
    Samsung tab s9 ultra
Windows 11 desktop via jellyfin media player

    Clients that no longer work:
    Samsung z fold 5
    Lenovo tab p12 pro

    Test media:

    The video just never loads:

The Intel 7700T does have a GPU in it with Intel Quick Sync.

Can you share your server log so we can see what it is trying to do?

Fresh log file attached.  The IP address of my zfold5 trying to play a video was: 192.168.15.29

I do see this in the log:

[2024-11-19 21:21:39.738 -05:00] [WRN] [17] Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpServer.WebSocketConnection: WS "192.168.15.29" error receiving data: "The remote party closed the WebSocket connection without completing the close handshake."
    [2024-11-19 21:21:39.753 -05:00] [INF] [17] Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpServer.WebSocketManager: WS "192.168.15.29" closed

    Thank you for your help!

Do you also have a transcoding log?

Can you clear the cache on your android device:
    settings-> apps-> manage apps-> jellyfin --> delete data-> delete cache

On the android clients, do you have them configured to use the web player or integrated player?

Web player.  I tried integrated player just now with no luck.  When I select external player I get "unable to load media info from server"

    Thanks!
