Doesn't matter what client is used, server can't be accessed through the local network anymore.  No known user initiated changes. I can access it via Tailscale virtual LAN.  Worked fine for months and then suddenly, with no apparent changes, 'cannot access server' from tv, laptops, or phones except through Tailscale IP address.  Can access server through the local IP from the server--but not through network.

Server version 10.11.6 Running on a Mac Mini M4  Static server IP hasn't changed.  Mac Firewall is off.

Server shows as correct IP both in settings and when searched for in terminal. Local Server IP is set to: 192.168.4.36

Whitelisted on Surfshark and Adguard.  Quitting these apps entirely doesn't appear to change things. Edit: Quitting Tailscale also doesn't allow local access through IP--but as always it still works on the server itself.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

    Logs attached.

it's almost certainly point (3) in Tailscale's documentation here: https://tailscale.com/docs/reference/tro...an-failure

Thanks. I've tried the exit node settings as mentioned in point three that you mentioned. Also tried just totally disabling Tailscale on all devices. Still no access in local IP access from other devices on network in either situation. ??

After you disabled Tailscale on all devices, did you then *restart* _only_ the Jellyfin service? (so that it could re-bind to the relevant local network interface + address).

Yep. Fortunately, I'm now finding that sometimes I can ping the server from other devices and sometimes I can't. Only thing that I can think of left is that perhaps the router isn't reserving the IP address right. It's a shared router, so I'm going to have to coordinate a reset and reassignment of reserved IP when my son in law, who works from home, is done with his current major work project. (Not going to mess with his income.)

yeah "sometimes ping" sounds like a LAN issue, but an unusual one.

if anything in the setup has physical rj45 networking cables then you might find one is faulty.

if everything is on wifi then it could be a wifi congestion problem (conflicts with other wifi's in the area) or , if the router is on the older side, could be a side affect of heavy wifi traffic (also a type of congestion!).

lastly, if you use a mesh wifi network, one of the nodes could be too far from the rest of the nodes with an intermittent backbone link.

    good luck in any case!

ive had this problem since 10.11 versioning. i have to use external ip and port to get to my instance locally using opnsense route. local clients on local ip and port do not work just like op. i can ping and see the server, but the client doesnt want to connect. all devices but browser. browser connects just fine on same device that im trying to use the jelly apps. iove even turned off the Require HTTPS setting no change.

by chance could it be OkHttp is not compatible with TLS 1.3 ?

my server i limit to 1.2 and higher. emby works fine this way

Can you get any log files from Crypto IIS or Windows Events Viewer / IIS to confirm that connections from the 'Jellyfin Apps' are even being attempted? (and presumably subsequently rejected)
