I have three users setup on Jellyfin, "me" "home" and "kids"
I have "me" setup to administer the server while I'm logged in. "Home" for the TVs around the house and "kids" for their tablets,etc....
I would like to be able to sync the watched status on movies and shows between the three users. I can't seem to find how this is done. Doesn't have to even be in real time, once a day or days is fine.
1st I installed trackt plugin, setup an account and thought I was syncing, but it appears to do nothing. Can't figure out why. Gave up.
I went down a rabbit hole, setting up a VM host -> LXC container -> docker -> watchstate -> configured backend sync through webgui and I'm stuck there. It says it ran the import/export, and I believe it did. Don't know how to now sync between users. This took about 5 hours on something I originally thought would be easier. Then I thought, do I really need a dedicated PC setup with docker running to do this?
I can't help but think I've crazy WAY over complicated things, does anyone else know an easier way? Is there just an option I'm missing, or a way run some SQL on the database to sync the watched status field? I only have one server with three users.
