I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
    I'm running a DS918+ which has a Intel Celeron J3455 processor & DSM 6.2.4 update 7

if I enable Hardware transcoding nothing will play and I get an error. Software encoding works but I am worried about how much CPU it uses..

I followed the instructions on the Marius install guide modifying them for the Docker. Any advise or assistance would be appreciated.

Any reason why you're not on DSM7? If you update to it, you can follow my guide to get Jellyfin running: https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-guide-runni...er-compose

Can you share your docker config for the container? Did you pass in the GPU?

I'm not sure what you mean by pass in the GPU?

The container doesn't have access to the GPU by default. You have to pass in the device into the container.

For Intel that device path is /dev/dri/renderD128.

Efficient has a guide for setting up Jellyfin in DSM.

    https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-guide-runni...er-compose

It's for DSM7, but the directions should be the same or similar.

I just need to figure out how to add the access to the current docker... that shouldn't be too hard?

Ignore that.. so it is still maxing out the CPU with any video being watched..

I've attached the config file, I've tried both VAAPI & QSV..

Keep in mind that audio transcoding will still happen on the CPU. Burning in subtitles also places a load on the CPU.

I do not see any attachments. Can you attach the latest ffmpeg logs so we can see what it is doing for each transcode?
