I have used Plex for many years on Windows and discovered JellyFin and out of curiosity, decided to see how JellyFin could support my AV server & TV client needs. Very pleased so far. Now that I see the open source alternative to Plex I conclude just has WAY to much stuff I don't need on it. Looking forward to a long run with JellyFin.
I keep hearing about the virtues of Linux and tried setting up a server with Linux, but I just don't have the technical skill/learning stamina to continue. With Linux, there are just to many situations where a fundamental can't be mastered based on my computer skill level. For my latest sever refresh, I went back to something I can master, Windows. After applying the correct de-bloating clean up, I feel my ultimate new set up (built from a treasure trove of better previously enjoyed parts) is passing all the diagnostics for what Local User Windows machines should do.
I have a few questions and I know that usually you have to find and supply text data that shows what the system is and what it is doing. I have surfed around a bit on this forum and have not found instructions on the system data gathering process.
So my first question is about how to ask questions.
Please advise
Frank
