    Hello All.

I am new here, tried to search for that thematic but could not find something.
I use Jellyfin since about 6 Months and like it a lot.
Since i cancelled my steaming services, i start with Jellyfin and i grow a pretty big collection.
Mostly Jellyfin recognizes a movie correctly, it does that via TMDB i guess.
So i always check TMDB to find out a proper name for jellyfin, but sometimes it just don't recognizes the right movie.
i would wish that i can just name a folder like 'Movie xy (2003) TMDB424234'. is something like this possible?

Sure i know i still can do that inside jellyfin but that is too much manual work.

Jellyfin expects to find your movies and shows in separate folders (directories) and your movie inside that folder. (As per the documentation)
Using your example, you would format the names like:

    Movies
    └── Movie xy (2003) [tmdbid-424234]
          └── Movie xy.mkv
Jellyfin 10.11.11 (bare metal) on Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS, Server: OptiPlex 7050 i7-6700 32GB (headless)
Arc A380 Genie, Storage: TrueNAS Mini R,  Clients: Jellyfin Media Player, Android and AndroidTV

Thank you for that, I will try this.
If it really forces Jellyfin to take the right movie i will implement that in my workflow.
