Transcoding 4k Problems

I am having trouble playing 4k videos on 1080 tv's. I can play everything else but it seems not to transcode properly. i dont know whats going on. i amvery new to the jellyfin server and dont know any other way to explain what is happening.

When i play a movie that is 4k on a 1080 tv it loads a black screen then says Jellyfin has encoutered a playback error. and there is no additional information available. i am sometimes trying to watch these while the wife is watching the main tv which is a 4k tv

I have included the log file for the last video i tried to play it was star trek VI The undiscovered country in 4k. 

please if there are any other information needed please ask.

TVs with 1080 can not play 4k videos. May be transcoding will help but your hardware must support it

as far as hardware my pc specs are as follows. i don't know if this is good enough hardware or should i get a upgrade?

32 gb ram
amd 6800xt
Asrock X570 pg Velocita
1x Seagate Exos X20 20tb
1x Seagate Exos X16 16tb
Corsair MP600 m.2 1tb nvme

Find in Jellyfin server settings for Transcoding and try to change it
Dashboard->Playback->Transcoding

transcoding is enabled. Any toher suggestions?

try to switch off Transcoding and then set path for Transcoding (see down in the settings)
Check ffmpeg path exists?

Transcoding is working fine, but the output of the video is 4K and your TV is 1080P. It can't display that resolution.

What client are you playing with? Android TV? WebOS?

So, my 4k video is playing on TV1080 using Transcoding but with interruptions. I will play with settings......
