Hallo Liebe Gemeinde, ich habe mal Fragen zu meinem Problem und hoffe, es gibt hier jemanden, der Auskunft geben kann. Ich bin gerade dabei meine Filmsammlung zu digitalisieren und auf meinem NAS Server zu speichern. Das klappt soweit ganz gut und bis jetzt ohne Probleme. Abspielen und Ansehen auf meinem Smart TV ist mit „Jellyfin“ auch ok. Aber hier fängt mein Problem an. Ich habe gestern den Film „Operation: Kongdom“ angeschaut und festgestellt, dass mit den Untertiteln etwas nicht stimmt. Ich kann diese ein oder eben ausschalten. Dann laufen diese aber den gesamten Film durch, oder eben nicht. Da aber sehr viele Dialoge in Arabisch stattgefunden haben, hätte ich nur an diesen Stellen die Untertitel, aber nicht wenn deutsch gesprochen wird. Gibt es dafür eine Einstellung bei „Jellyfin“, die ich noch nicht entdeckt habe, oder mache ich etwas beim rippen falsch. Gruß an alle…

Also generell wär mal wichtig zu wissen wie die Untertitel vorliegen. Sind sie direkt im File integriert? Sind sie reingemuxt? Mit Handbrake gerippt? Meist gibt es Einstellungsmöglichkeiten hierfür.
Wenn es keine "forced" Variante im Original gibt, dann kann man sie natürlich auch nicht rippen.
Schau mal eventuell ob diese Untertitelvariante im Original vorhanden ist -> falls ja, dann musst du genau diese Untertitelspur mitrippen oder eben beim muxen mitnehmen. In Handbrake im Untertitel-Tab sichergehen das alle Untertitelspuren mitgenommen werden die du haben willst

Alternativ kannst du dir auch externe Untertitel besorgen. (Open Subtitle Plugin!) Hier möchtest du eben die "forced" Variante die eben nur fremdsprachiges übersetzt.

So in general it would be important to know how the subtitles are available. Are they integrated directly into the file? Are they muxed? Ripped with Handbrake? There are usually settings options for this.
If there is no "forced" variant in the original, then of course you can't rip it. Maybe see if this subtitle variant is available in the original -> if so, then you have to rip exactly this subtitle track or select it when muxing. In Handbrake, in the Subtitles tab, make sure that all the subtitle tracks you want are selected.
Alternatively, you can also get external subtitles. (Open Subtitle Plugin!) Here you want the "forced" variant that only translates foreign language.
