Videos Not Showing Up

Hi,
 
I have a Windows 11 Pro based installation of Jellyfin with folders containing TV, Film, Documentaries and Stand-Up, all under a folder called "Videos" ... in other words all very highly organised IMO.
 
For my "Movies" library, Jellyfin appears to have picked up every film in the relevant folder  ("films") however, in my Documentaries library (folder structure pictured below) Jellyfin picks up the documentary series in folders but doesn't seem to pick up those that are individual, movie length, documentaries.
 
   
 
For testing purposes, as the image shows, I have just one such documentary ("An Inconvenient Truth (2006)") which is not picked up in the library despite repeated rescans. If I search for "inconvenient", Jellyfin finds the film but there is no "Identify" option and it's still unavailable in the "Documentaries" library where I want it to appear (or in any of my libraries).
 
Is there a way to force Jellyfin to add a film rather than just rescanning?

Which folder is the library root? F:\Videos? Or F:\Documentary? Also, it sounds like you are mixing "series" and "movies" together.

Hi,

The structure is F:\Videos with all other video folders (including "TV", "Films" and "Documentary") underneath that. If something is a series, for example, the BBC series "Wonders Of The Solar System", is stored in "[BBC] Wonders Of The Solar System (2010)". I also have several movie-length documentaries which would be stored in F:\Videos\Documentary so yes, in the sense of there being a mix of types, yes I am.

Is that incorrect? Is there a "correct" way to organise files?

Mixed libraries are supported, but we don't recommend doing that due to inconsistent behaviors and inconsistent identification. However, what is 100% not supported is "Nesting" folders under the root folder as you currently are. This results in inconsistent identification, and breaks a lot of functions.

Each folder under F:\Videos would need to be a separate root folder. A library can have more than one root folder if you wish to continue mixing "movies" and "series" documentaries.
