I have been ripping my entire library of movies and TV shows over the past months and have watched them using the Jellyfin app on my TV that is running Android TV.
But now all of a sudden the subtitles on a lot of my movies and shows won't show up anymore.
I have used DVDFab to rip my movies, since it was by far the easiest tool for me to use and I have used MediaInfo to see that the MP4 file has a subtitle track.
It says there is a VOBSUB text track.
And when I play the movie or show, it is also possible to select the VOBSUB track in the player, but it never shows the subtitle.
I have tried changing the Jellyfin settings to always burn the subtitles, but it doesn't work.
I have tried downloading a subtitle extract plugin, but that also doesn't seem to do anything.
I'm at a loss for what to do and I really don't want to have to rip my entire library again.
The Jellyfin Android app has version: jellyfin-androidtv 0.19.7 release
I have attached a txt file of the mediainfo output of a movie that doesn't show subtitles.
mediainfo.txt (Size: 6.21 KB / Downloads: 8)
If I place a random .srt file with the same name next to the movie, Jellyfin can select and play that, but it is probably not going to be in sync, since it didn't come from my DVD rip.
If I need to share a sample of the video, please let me know and I will try to do that as well.
