I have this weird problem with some files. Metadata for some songs reads "musicbrainz".
Is this a bug with the musicbrainz plugin?

Comparing the Musicbrainz plugin git, there were a lot of changes between 10.8 and 10.9.

I haven't added any music since upgrading to 10.9 so my music metadata hasn't changed. I will do some testing tonight or tomorrow and get back to you.

Sorry.  Life got in the way of actually testing this.  Re-reading your post, I'm not sure I understand the problem.  The pic you include shows you the providers that Jellyfin used to retrieve metadata.  Those aren't song or album listings.

But Jellyfin behaves weirdly when you only have one item in an album or a single song for an artist.  It will only show the play button, which is what I think is happening for you.
