What android TV external players talks to Jellyfin server

I'm trying to work what players are better for downmixing to Stereo.

VLC is good but it doesn't talk to the server.

If you want proper Jellyfin integration, try MPV Shim or Just Player since both support server communication and handle downmixing reliably. Also check whether downmixing is enabled on the server side, as Jellyfin can transcode to stereo automatically depending on your client settings.

Thanks I might give MPV shim a go and see how well it works when downmixing.
