I am testing a single PC for use (with internet access), at a non-profit sporting club. I have to use Windows 11.
Jellyfin would be used purely for how-to videos and member contributions - Its point and click interface suits the user base capacity to use a PC.

I have installed in testing and had both IIS and Jellyfin working.
IIS on port 80 and the embedded web service for the 'standard Windows' non-service install of Jellyfin on port 8096

Whilst this setup seemed to work - prior to investing too much in a final product I am wondering if anyone on this forum has knowledge or experience (advice) on whether I should be using either the 'as a service' install or running Jellyfin using IIS. As I say, it seems to work natively but I have not done anything other than checking the IIS default page and the login for Jellyfin.

If I am not clear in what I am saying here, please let me know and I will try to expound.

    Thanks in advance.

The service install type should only be used if the user running jellyfin NEVER logs in. And it requires some additional config. Primarily changing the user the service runs as.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1
