Hardware acceleration issue with Debian 11 on NUC10i7

Hi all, I cannot make hardware acceleration on my NUC10i7 runing Debian 11 and the latest Jellyfin version. Can somebody help with troubleshooting?

Many thanks, ioan

I have tried VAAPI, Intel Quick Sync and Nvidia NVENC. I get same non-compatible error when trying to play.

For QSV setup, for example.

uname -a

Linux tux 5.10.0-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.9-1 (2021-01-20) x86_64 GNU/Linux

lscpu | grep ‘Model name’

And I get this error when trying to play any video file (not only h265 or h264)

Just FYI, I managed to install Ubuntu 20.04 on my NUC10i7 and everything is working just fine, including the hardware acceleration (Intel Quick Sync).

Many thanks for your awesome work, Jellyfin team!

Having the same problem. How did you solve it?

Hi Albert, sorry for late reply. If you still want to know, the issue was fixed once I managed to install Ubuntu 20.04 on the NUC. And that was fixed by brining the BIOS to factory default (or optimized settings)
