Jellyfin Tizen - firas1 - 2023-08-22 Hello, are there any news on when we get the official App for Samsung Tizen TV's? I think they sayed its comming soon over a year ago already RE: Jellyfin Tizen - Venson - 2023-08-22 Hey @firas1 If I remember correctly from discussions, there have been some legal issues with how Samsung requirements on their apps which we were not be able to resolve to this date. RE: Jellyfin Tizen - firas1 - 2023-08-22 So its unclear if we will ever get an official app for that? I used to install the app on my SamsungTV via a tutorial on reddit, but this app never updates itself and I can't find any offical thread where I can see when I need to start all over again to receive a new version of my Tizen App. RE: Jellyfin Tizen - Venson - 2023-08-22 Maybe. I cannot say, all _i_ know/can say is that the will is definitely there but there are reasons outside our hands that prevent us from doing it any other way currently. RE: Jellyfin Tizen - firas1 - 2023-08-22 Ok thanks for your fast answers :-) Is there any way to get at least informed when there is a new version available for building over docker? I can't find a way to see if my used version is outdated or not? RE: Jellyfin Tizen - Venson - 2023-08-22 Jellyfin does not provide that information, that is correct however you could watch the github repro where new versions are announced when they come out. It then takes usually a few hours to build the containers. On the other hand there is a project that mostly wraps all that stuff for tizen into a container itself and there are plenty tools out there to watch for docker updates like watchdog. I figure with a bit of ingenuity you could maybe automate most of that stuff away. RE: Jellyfin Tizen - firas1 - 2023-08-22 Is this the correct repro: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web If yes, where can I see when it gets updated? RE: Jellyfin Tizen - Venson - 2023-08-22 you could use that but i would recommend the server repro: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin RE: Jellyfin Tizen - firas1 - 2023-08-22 Ok thanks And what do I have to look for there so I can see there is a new version available? RE: Jellyfin Tizen - Venson - 2023-08-22 Well for once you can look at the releases: or click on watch to get notified by email when there is a new release: |
