Can you try checking how old the firmware is on your A380?

My guide here has links for the tools to flash firmware, but the same tool can just show you the current firmware versions for the various GPU components.

I got everything working by installing the MFX libraries. I must have missed that on my initial setup. On OpenMandriva I ran sudo dnf in lib64mfx* to pull in all of the MFX lib packages, so I'm not entirely sure which one did the trick.

I had not seen this prior to my reply about the MFX libs. I will check the firmware and reply.
