RE: Metadata Issue (Anime) - Oddstr13 - 2025-04-02

Some if not most of the anime-specific metadata providers expect a season-as-series structure, that is, each season of a show is presented as a separate show, with a season name being the show name.

I'd recommend not mixing metadata providers expecting that scheme with providers expecting the show/season#/episode structure in the same library.

Can't know for sure whether this is the case of your issues, however. I've opted for the more traditional western show->season structure in my library, with the appropriate metadata sources for that, and additionally external nfo files.

We would require full details about how your library and metadata sources are configured, along with examples of full file structure of the affected shows, and what they are detected as in order to be able to assist in debugging this issue.
You would have to trigger a full library re-scan, potentially with extensive debug logging options enabled for the logs to be of more use, the provided log file does not give me any useful information, unfortunately.

Not quiet right. The show were added so or so it just the Metadata that did not load.

Example : I created a Folder on my GDrive with the name Dead Mount Death Play and added episodes
It will show on Jellyfin a Folder without any picture or most of time the first scene of the first episode u uploaded, no Metadata information, no Orginal Picture, No Background just basically nothing organized its just a Folder with Episodes on it and the Episodes are named like u named them not the real Episode name.

I will try to give u as much as of information I possible can, About the log thing, I am not sure where can I enable "extensive debug logging" so if u could tell me where exactly it is I would be thankful.
Btw now while searching for the "Extensive debug Logging" I found a bug/issue, My Jellyfin was in english, i changed it to German as its main language now whenever I try to change it back to english, it would simply not change for some reason.
Info about my Jellyfin :
Running on DigitalOcean Server (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS x64)
Movies/Series/Animes are located on my Google Drive
With rclone linked to Jellyfin & Google Drive
I upload the "stuff" on my Windows PC using GDrive Software which mounts a VHD thats linked to my GDrive
All the stuff I upload, I do it in the following structure.  H:\My Drive\Anime\AnimeName\Season 1 then i put all the episodes of Season 1 etc.. etc...
Same thing I do with all my other Movies/Series.

On movies and series it works perfect there no issue, it instantly detects and all good.

On the Animes and really only the Animes, It just shows as a normal folder with "Video Files" innit. No Artwork, Background nothing. It works fine but looks hella ugly.
