Go to Dashboard > Users > Click on you user.
What boxes do you have checked for Media Playback.

What a dumb mistake, it was somehow disabled?
I don't know why or how it got disabled but now its working. Thanks a lot!

Huzzah! Your problem didn't make sense so I was testing misconfigurations that could cause your problem and realized this was likely it.
