RE: remote phone connect - metropical - 2024-04-11 running locally. But no logs. Emby server is running, 8096. JF client is running. As I said, JF client won't just accept 8094 pf change. But if I exit Emby, JF stops. argh RE: remote phone connect - TheDreadPirate - 2024-04-12 If exiting Emby kills Jellyfin then the Jellyfin server isn't actually running. Which is kind of confirmed since you can't find Jellyfin logs. When you say "PF" I'm assuming you mean port forwarding on your router. Which doesn't change which port Jellyfin, or Emby, runs on. First you just need to shut off Emby. You can't reconfigure Jellyfin server while Emby is running. Once Emby is down, start the Jellyfin server, do the initial setup, then go into the Dashboard, Networking, and change the port from 8096 to 8094. Restart Jellyfin. RE: remote phone connect - metropical - 2024-04-12 what a dummy. I thought I had dl'd the media player and the server. But I only had the player. Have the server, entered the port & music libs, which are being scanned right now. So I guess when server finishes scanning? RE: remote phone connect - metropical - 2024-04-12 nope. still not right. when I click on - Launch web UI, I get the 8096 page of Emby. It's playing from JF Media Player. here's a log. https://srcb.in/fU3OgqN7Vm RE: remote phone connect - metropical - 2024-04-12 k, seems to be right now. Emby runs on 8096 and JF on 8094, at the same time. Tried both locally and remote on phone for either. And local for JF on Mac. So far so good. Dunno what I got right. But thanks for the help, DreadPirate. |
