RE: 4K HEVC on 1080P Roku - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-22 Yeah. I had to put all my streaming devices on my 5Ghz network. I originally intended for all my non PC devices to sit on a 2.4Ghz guest network, but the 2.4Ghz band is too congested. Both from all my devices, but mostly because of neighboring network overlap. It’s from 2018-19 and doesn’t work on 5GHz; won’t even see a dedicated 5GHz network. Guess I’ll just have to upgrade to a 4K Streaming Stick. At least they’re cheap. I checked our bedroom tv which is a TCL Roku TV and the problem 4K movies play fine. A 2nd problem, and it may again be the old Roku again, is that no matter the movie, AC3 audio is being transcoded, even though I have a 5.1 soundbar connected to the main TV. RE: 4K HEVC on 1080P Roku - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-23 In the ROKU OS settings, not Jellyfin app settings, go to Settings > Audio. What are "Digital output format" and "Preferred streaming format" set to? |
