Trickplay in Client - daps13 - 2025-01-13

I have enabled trickplay on my server. I made sure to enable it for each library and confirmed that trickplay images have been generated for all my media as I can see them next to my media in their folders. The issue is I cannot seem to get the trickplay images to appear when scrubbing. I know this is most likely an issue with the various clients and whether they support trickplay yet. I have tested this on the web client, the desktop client, android app, and android TV app, and none of them have trickplay images appearing when scrubbing. I have enabled trickplay generation but is there a setting to explicitly enable trickplay during playback?

EDIT: I found a partial solution to the issue:
To enable trickplay on the Android TV app, under settings>>developer options there is the "enable trickplay in video player" which got trickplay working for me

I don't want to mark this as solved quite yet as I'd like to either solve the problem for the web/desktop/mobile app as well, or atleast get confirmation that those do not support trickplay yet, as I wasn't able to find anything looking through the patch notes.

Are you using a reverse proxy?

RE: Trickplay in Client - daps13 - 2025-01-16

I don't believe I am running one. I have jellyfin running on my home pc and it is just set up to be accessible from the local network. I am running it on Windows 10 and have updated Jellyfin to the latest stable build.

P. S. I have added an edit to my original post as I found the solution for the android TV app specifically.

My next questions was going to be which client you were using. Looks like you found the solution for AndroidTV.
