Howdy, txHammer from H-Town, just back on the scene, long time user of win 7 media center, kodi, xbox, htpc mini pc serving media since 2004.
Took some time off when streaming became available...now back; hls streaming sites are cool! Just found you guys last month, wow! Jellyfin is awesome! it feels like a professional streaming app!
I used to use a mini pc connected to my tv with a wireless kb. i even built an app
I am using jellyfin with ubuntu desktop serving my ipad and android tv, works great. Its nice to use a remote instead of a kb!, thanks jellyfin team!
Still getting the feel for jellyfin, here are a few suggestions i would like to see added :
* Random movie collection on home screen
* New releases, not just recently added, show year released not date added to library, make as option in settings
An idea for jellyfin lite - plug in external usb media drive to back of hdtv, use jellyfin lite to read and index media/metadata
none of the extra features of jellyfin server just a metadata library ui to serve the media files...
