glitches when watching transcoded stream - wolf174 - 2025-02-02 jellyfin-server version: 10.10.3 & 10.10.5 (both same problem) OS: inside a debian LXC running on proxmox CPU: i5-12500 - UHD 770 The playback is smooth when I'm not transcoding so its not a network bandwidth issue. It only happens in particular dark scenes i noticed. in this case its a 4K remux HEVC the same movie 1080P remux has no problems. it is consistent and always happens at the same time. the server can keep up its transcoding at around 60+ fps. The content is also being loaded from the M.2 nvme. things i tried: - disabling tone mapping. - transcoding from HEVC to HEVC. - using windows as the OS. - forcefully upgrading the intel drivers to the one on the github. - enabling guc=2 Settings: Video's showcasing the issue: video oneĀ video two I think it might be hardware defect but i'm not 100% sure. RE: glitches when watching transcoded stream - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-03 Does this happen with all videos or just this video? I've experienced similar issues and it was always the video file having some level or corruption. It played fine when not transcoding, but the process of transcoding revealed the file corruption. RE: glitches when watching transcoded stream - wolf174 - 2025-02-04 Yep it was a corrupted file now its working fine |
