Metadata edit not sticking - WoodyBABL - 2025-03-12 I have an old TV special that I added to my collection. One of the actors is listed in the main cast on themoviedb but doesn't appear in the cast on either the web or the app. So I added the actress via Edit Metadata in Jellyfin. Hit save. Still not there. Go to Edit Metadata again and she's not in the People list. None of the lock buttons are cleared. Any idea what's happening? RE: Metadata edit not sticking - TheDreadPirate - 2025-03-12 IIRC, this can happen when there are two distinct actors with the same name. And there is currently no way around it with how the database currently works. The EFCore database refactor is supposed to take steps to solve this problem. But, currently, it cannot be worked around if you have this name conflict. RE: Metadata edit not sticking - theguymadmax - 2025-03-12 I just tested this, and adding people doesn't work like you described in the current release. I also tested it on the unstable build, and it works. You'll just have to wait until 10.11 is released—not anytime soon if you're wondering.
