Wood-Fired Pizza Oven vs. Regular Oven - Silvia Apilinario - 2025-03-21

I’ve been baking pizzas for a while now, spent many years with a regular oven, but from the time I tried a wood-fired pizza oven, I haven’t looked back. The high heat gives the crust that perfect texture. Regular ovens work, but they just don’t compare. Have any of you made the switch? I’ve also heard about multi-fuel ovens… anyone tried those?

That sounds awesome, love that it’s become a family tradition. Honestly, making pizza together is half the fun, especially when everyone gets involved. I totally get that a regular oven can work well too especially when it's more about the experience. But yeah, once I started using a wood-fired pizza oven, the crust and overall flavor are just different. It’s a bit more effort, but totally worth it when you’ve got the time. If your kids enjoy pizza nights, they’ll probably enjoy these too.
