My ipv4 changed and now I can't access Jellyfin from other devices - crambles - 2025-05-07 My ipv4 changed and now I can't access my Jellyfin server from my phone or TV. I did some troubleshooting on my own but so far I haven't been able to find the culprit. Once I realized my server wasn't working because of the ipv4 change, I opened my router admin panel and updated the port forwarding rules to change the old ip to the new ip. It still didn't work and then I thought maybe the ports were wrong so I added rules with other ports. So now I have 4 entries where I used to have 2. Attached a screenshot of what it looks like now. ![]() On my computer, http://ipv4:8096 works and http://localhost:8096/ works. They both bring me to my Jellyfin server. On my phone which is connected to the same wifi network, I tried both of those in the browser and it says "this site can't be reached". I also tried connecting on my phone from the Jellyfin app and it is unable to connect. I've tried stopping and starting jellyfin as well. Any ideas? EDIT: I was finally able to figure this out, I needed to go to firewall settings and add a checkbox next to one of the Jellyfin instances and change public to private. Any idea why this might have changed when this used to be working fine?
