Fire TV - Playback issues on some files - monryse - 2025-06-05
I own a couple of fireTV 4k max and i'm trying to use them as Jellyfin clients.
All is going fine, but with some files, playback is failing.
- In some cases the image is broken, seems to be shifted to the left (i see a peace of the frame on the right of the screen)
- In other cases i see a black screen and hear only the audio.
I installed jellyfin server on windows and i do not have hardware transcoding activated (no hardware to do this).
Is there a command that i can run on the video files that give further details/info?
The problem seems to happen only with fireTV, for example, if i try to play the same video on Jellyfin on my iPhone, the playback is working perfectly with no issues.
