Intel arc a380 transcoding failure - harshitgoel96 - 2024-06-16

I am running Jellyfin on TrueNas Scale via Truenas App, and I am trying to setup HW Trans-coding with Intel Arc A380 and Intel QSV.

The transcoding logs shows the following error at the bottom,

As far as I know, Arc A380 supports HEVC and AV1 transcoding.

I strongly recommend using TrueNAS's docker capability and running our official docker image instead of the TrueNAS app.

A lot of people have issues with transcoding with the "app" version of Jellyfin.

The official docker image includes all the Intel drivers you need. Your system just needs to be running kernel 6.2 and newer.
