Videos work on Media Player, not on Broswer - canosgmk - 2024-07-27 Greetings. I have googled for a while now and can't seem to find my situation. half of my movies are not playing on the web browsers (google or duckduckgo), but will work from the app/media player. Current setup: JellyFin on my home server- TrueNas Scale Dragonfish 24.04.1 Dragonfish-24.04.1 i7 6700K 64GB Ram 1GB network to a unmanaged switch Main PC plugged in to the same switch going directly through the IP address for JellyFin. due to working on the app/media player and not web, there is a setting somewhere that I need to change (guess). I even tried to go on my cellphone (not on my home network) and the same thing happens. works on the app and not the web. RE: Videos work on Media Player, not on Broswer - TheDreadPirate - 2024-07-28 Can you share your full logs via pastebin? Also, how are you running Jellyfin? As a docker container or as a TrueNAS "app"? Tried to play the movie (didn't work). then I opened the jellyfin media app on the same PC and played the movie (worked) Just a reminder, from the 20 movies i have in jellyfin, only three does this. the rest of them is fine. RE: Videos work on Media Player, not on Broswer - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2024-07-28 Sounds like your decode settings are incorrect. The Jellyfin Media Player most likely works because it's capable of direct playing more codecs and therefore doesn't need to transcode. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Quick_Sync_Video#Hardware_decoding_and_encoding You have a Skylake CPU, so do the following for HWA: Enable these: 1. MPEG2 2. H264 3. VC1 4. VP8 5. HEVC 6. VP9 (Linux Only) Disable these: 1. HEVC 10-bit 2. VP9 10-bit 3. AV1 |
