Scanning Files - ScubaFett - 2024-08-01

I have a 'Shows' library already set up with plenty in there, and manual scans work fine. But since putting Harvey Birdman on there, it just can't see the data properly for some reason (Even though identify failed, the seasons and files should still appear):

Can you share your full jellyfin log via pastebin?

This doesn't look good: SQLite Error 11: 'database disk image is malformed'.

Definitely looks bad. Did the disk Jellyfin runs on fill up? Or did Windows crash hard?

RE: Scanning Files - ScubaFett - 2024-08-01

Space didn't run out on C drive where Jellyfin runs on. Space on the media HDD (S drive) has come close but I've since fixed that.

There's been a few times in the last 6 months where we've had power outages. So that may have done something and it's eventually become apparent.

Happy just to wipe the DB and scan fresh. There's only a few things I'd have to manually identify. How would I do that? Or would I have to wipe it clean, re-install Jellyfin, and re-setup users and libraries?

Cheers

Stop Jellyfin. Backup C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server. That's ProgramDATA not Program FIles. Once you've backed up the Jellyfin data and database, delete everything in the Server folder. Start Jellyfin. Clear your browser cache or possibly Ctrl+f5 should be enough to properly connect to the reset server and redo the setup.

Cheers, just recreating everything now. Looks like Harvey Birdman is all good now! Grinning-face

What's the best way to back up the database? Just copy the Server folder elsewhere? Is there nice inbuilt export/import options in settings somewhere?

RE: Scanning Files - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-01

There is no built-in backup function.  Stop Jellyfin and backup that ProgramData folder I mentioned.  That contains all your permanent Jellyfin data.
