    Hello everyone,

I started using Jellyfin in the last 3-4 months, and it has been a good experience for me, except for some minor annoying issues. I have tried to resolve them but have had no luck so far.

I have issues with slow scrubbing (not every time) and loading files. About 40% of the time, I have to wait 6-7 seconds for the files to start playing.
Sometimes, when I fast forward, the video hangs, and afterward, it either starts from the beginning or nothing happens unless I wait over 10 seconds and then press the forward or backward button.
Occasionally, when I stop and leave a video, the next time I want to resume watching, it starts from the beginning without subtitles.
These issues occur on my LG TV, the Jellyfin app on Linux, the Jellyfin app on Windows, and on my iPhone (I tried both Jellyfin and Streamyfin). The media resides on local disks where Jellyfin is installed on a TrueNAS box.

In Plex, none of the above issues (tested on the same files) exists, whether using the Plex app for Windows, LG TV, or iPhone.

    Hardware:
    Ryzen 7 7700
    64GB RAM
    3 x raid 1 disk pools 7200rpm
nvidia gt710 - no transcoding capabilities

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Could you grab some logs by recreating with a problematic video or two? I have this experience occasionally, but it tends to be with non-standard encodes of my own doing. These tend to be AV1 or HEVC encodes with large b-frame values or keyframes few and far between.

No the files are h264. Yesterday i did put transcode to be happening in RAM and restarted the server. Only once video was paused and then continued. I thin there is improvement i will continue to monitor and report.
