[some m3u files as well]
2 directories, 2364 files
I have a music collection like the list above. Usually, I just let my music player handle the tagging and the searching for me. In my case, PowerAmp kind of just scrubs every single file, looks for metadata, then sorts my music collection into albums, artists, composers etc. etc.
Even after reading through the Jellyfin official music sorting guide, I was under the assumption that Jellyfin would still scrub data for me, but it seems that it is not so. Right now Jellyfin just doesn't do *anything* to the music, it doesn't even look at the metadata at all. It just shows the file name without the extension, and no album cover.
Is there really no way for Jellyfin to look through the metadata of my music, then group songs via artists, albums etc. , rather than the folders that precede it?
Also, playlists. I have a few defined playlists in m3u format in the same directory. They all just contain the names of the songs. PowerAmp can look through them fine. Some of my playlists were imported with the correct name, but all of them have missing songs and incorrect song counts. However, it seems that HERE, metadata is scrubbed from music properly, and song names and covers actually show.
