LG webOS does not allow AAC passthrough via the eARC function, only AC3 passthrough is supported.
So on the jellyfin webos app, for example, when transcoding DTS, if you choose AAC, the Jellyfin server will first convert DTS to AAC using FFmpeg, and then the LG TV will convert AAC to EAC3,and then earc will passthrough to the AVR.
If you choose AC3, the Jellyfin server only needs to convert DTS to AC3 once, and then eARC will passthrough to the AVR, which reduces an extra conversion.
My question is, which option is better?Or is there not much difference?
