Generate show and season thumbnails from random videos

Happy new years!

I have a video collection that I've created from YouTube videos. I currently added those into my shows library and split them up into seasons.

Everything works fine, there's no metadata available, which is fine because it's just random videos.

However, my question is:
how can I generate thumbnails for these videos?

OK, so the actual video itself does have a thumbnail. Great.

However, the season image/poster/thumbnail is empty. Is there a way to tell Jellyfin to auto-generate a thumbnail for it? A mashup image like the one generated for playlists would be great.

Additionally, could Jellyfin also auto-generate a thumbnail for the show image/poster/thumbnail?

I've heard of something called "screen grabber", but not sure if that's still around or available? I couldn't seem to find it in the Jellyfin settings.

If all else fails, does anyone know what the correct size is for season and show posters? If anything, then maybe I can create my own images some how...

Also, would it make more sense to move this videos into a different library type?

The screen grabber option is only a thing for episodes of TV Show libraries. It will get a screenshot from the episode and use it as the thumbnail for the episode.

There doesn't currently exist anything like that for all other image types found in a library, so you'll have to provide your own or find a program to generate them for you.

You can add any size of image to anything in Jellyfin. Just play around with it and you'll get a sense for what type of images work best.
