external subtitles not showing external player only

First of all, I'm a light user(dont know linux) and foreigner(live in not english mainly)
Using Jellyfin pi4 rpi os lite 64bit. not using docker.


I playing video not showing subtitles only external player.
tested application android mxplayer, vlc, mpv.

subtitle file tested .srt, .smi, .ass

only external subtitle files not showing.

web player and integrated player(exoplayer?) are showing external subtitle files.

direct play / transcoding same results.
subtitle file option for example, .forced, .en, etc. same results

jellyfin server 10.8.13

former updating jellyfin, external player shows .srt .ass not .smi
more former, about june 2023, support all subtitle format (tested .srt, .ass, .smi)

I dont have any idea for resolving. Please Help.

One of the devs uses external VLC successfully with external SRT subs. But not all players will support external subtitles through jellyfin.

Can you share your jellyfin logs with us?

I use official Jellyfin for android.

ver 2.6.0 -->No subtitle load(srt, ass, smi)

Findroid + mpv ->load successful.

official Jellyfin ver 2.4.4 -->load successful(except smi)

So, the problem was official android application for me.

The Android dev confirmed there is a known bug in 2.6.0 that will be fixed in 2.6.1 when it is released.
