The roku app is almost unrecognizable from when I first tried it 2 years ago. Great job with all the updates. This is getting better with every release.

Is it a known issue that hevc + subtitles cause a crash today? Not a deal breaker, was just curious if it's just me or if it's a known quantity Thanks

If your model Roku doesn't support HEVC or doesn't support all levels, try disabling some of the HEVC compatibility settings in the Jellyfin-Roku app.

I have a Roku Ultra which direct plays.

Yes, I think it is the same issue but I would expand and say that even subs embedded in the file will cause crashes. Files play correctly in web player with transcoding.
