So I can't speak for the entire team on this, but I do want to just add a little context here. I think the biggest obstacle for the addition of lyrics display is that there isn't an open alternative to the commercial services like Gracenote, which are expensive. Since Jellyfin is FOSS software, there is no subscription or sales price or anything which can be used to pay the expensive licensing fees that the lyrics providers require. So one of the biggest obstacles here really has nothing to do with Jellyfin: there just isn't an open source of this data right now, I believe, and one would need to be created.

You may have misunderstood me. I need the function of displaying the lyrics. I can download the lyrics file by myself. I don’t need to download the lyrics through the server. Emby allows to displays local LRC and TXT embedded lyrics files, external commercial providers are not necessary.
All I want is that Jellyfin have a way to communicate to Symfonium that there exist a lyric file

Lyric support is already added for 10.9, currently the server reads external lyric files and a change to read embedded lyrics is in the works. Client support will vary on release.
