Very slow seeking

I have my JellyFin set up in a VM in Hyper-V which runs on a Virtualization Server. Should I consider building a system with a GPU in it or something? It's almost completely unusable if you ever need to seek. it slows the whole server to a crawl.

My VM has:
16GB RAM
8 Virtual Cores
No GPU is present on the hardware itself

Sounds like it is currently transcoding on the CPU so, yes, you should add a GPU. As long as your setup can do actual GPU passthrough.
