The process should be the same, just with the equivalent Windows paths for Jellyfin-web.

Can somebody help me with these forks, I installed 3 of them , but still can't find what I need:
"I just need button "Next" to be clicked automatically when it pops out during credits". I see "Automatically skip Intro" checkbox in plugin settings but don't see "Automatically skip Credits" or "Automatically press Next" Intro is getting skipped automatically, however end credits still require you to press or hover your mouse on to "Next" button. Why have "Credit Detection" in scheduling tasks if there is no way to automatically skip it after it was detected? Can somebody please advise how to make it work? I just need button "Next" to be clicked automatically when it pops out during credits. I saw similar request in other places. But not for this plugin. Is there another plugin that needs to be added to make this work, or could current [intro-skipper] include that?

I agree this is a needed feature and I'm sure it will be added, since that repo seems fairly active recently.
That said, for me the jumoog fork is kind of hit and miss as to when the auto-skip works. Many of the clients which worked with the original plugin seem to not auto-skip anymore, certainly not consistently...and who knows it may not be the plugin's fault either, just my observation.

For example, the Android TV app had a bug and ignored the skipping events from the server. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-and...ssues/3263

Very interesting. I will admit I mostly watch on this AndroidTV client, and I did notice it stop working recently, so perhaps this is the cause. At the same time, it's strange that the issue being discussed in the github link was supposed to be resolved months ago. Sometimes I see the "skipping intro" prompt right at the start of an episode as the player is getting the episode ready, the little slider even moves ahead visually but playback begins from the start and never actually skips the intro. Also thanks for all your work on the plugin, yours is the fork I've been using!

Recently updated from 10.8.13 to 10.9.1 on my Windows 11 desktop, managed to get everything working apart from the intro skipper (skip button doesn't appear). I'm currently using Jumoog's fork, options are set to what I had before and the scheduled tasks are working. But can't seem to get it working via the web client (cleared the browser cache) or Findroid on my android devices (figured the app may need an update to support the new version possibly). I've tried reinstalling the plugin in JF, should I look at removing the introskipper folder in ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\Cache and do a fresh scan? I've also checked the permissions and they look okay from what I can tell.

Did you recently update the plugin? The git says there was an update for jumoog's fork about 5 hours ago. If you're experiencing issues, posting an issue on their git would probably be the best place since it appears they are frequently updating it for 10.9

I'll post on the git page as well when I get a chance. Edit: Actually looks to be working now on another video. Will keep testing.

I have a few questions about this plugin, because i am confused like that previous polar beard:
Some intros it doesn't find at all, even though they are the same as in previous episodes. Would anyone know why? It finds some of the intros, but the auto skip "hits" the bit of the show that goes before it, about 3-5 sec which is not an intro. Is there any way to control this in the settings? (Like "play the first 5 sec of the intro and then skip it") ? Even though I know the episode where it found the intro and I know the start time of 2:44(minutes:seconds), and I search what time the intro starts (2:00) for the episode where the plugin didn't find the intro and I try to match the tracks and enter them manually, I can't find the "blue" marker when I scroll "up/down" to show that a match was found. Then what happens to me is that the plugin finds the intro but skips the 1 min intro by only 8 sec, why is this? To be sure, that it isnt bug from previous plugin (confusedpolarbear) i manualy deleted whole content in folder "config/data/introskipper/chromaprints/" and start scan from scratch, but still same result on that Tv Show (Yellowstone 01x03,06, etc.). (Maybe in the "chromaprints" folder in the future the individual files could be renamed according to the series and episode names, so that I can easily manually delete and set the time manually if I know when the intro and credits start) if it would be possible, add the option "select one episode and specify where the intro is and scan will find the same passage for that TV show and mark it as the intro for the remaining episodes" Basically a kind of manual learning capability on a first episode, which part is the intro and how long skip the user want. And than each scan will check that first episod, which will be "example" and would not touch/rewrite it and just compare it to remaining episodes everytime when "scan" is promted. It would only work if the user sets up the first "sample" episode, if he doesnt, it would be left up to the plugin as it is now. My settings: Maximum degree of parallelism 5 Percent of audio to analyze 50 Maximum runtime of audio to analyze (in minutes) 25 Minimum introduction duration (in seconds) 5 Maximum introduction duration (in seconds) 120 Minimum credits duration (in seconds) 7 Maximum credits duration (in seconds) 300 Intro playback duration (in seconds) 2 chroma prints analyst (checked) Cache episode fingerprints (checked) Noise tolerance -50 Minimum silence duration 0,33 |
