10.9.0 Trickplay options missing after 11th library

I'm not seeing that option. I'm not sure what to do, lol. I have restarted the server and cleared the cache, even removed the theme and I never see it.

I'm an idiot. I thought I disabled the modified Web UI for jellyscrub, apparently I never hit save on that change.

Make sure you're not using the Jellyfin Media Player client. Its Web GUI has not been updated to show the new v10.9 options yet.

Someone else ran into this same issue yesterday from a comment I saw. They were trying to use JMP instead of an actual browser.

Do you have a theme or custom CSS?

Guess I'm in the same boat after the upgrade to 9.x, clearing cookies and caches, removing custom CSS, multiple service restarts, adding the 9.1 hotfix, nothing gets it to show up in any of the libraries.
I can configure it under Playback>Trickplay, but not much use for that when I can't enable the feature on any of my libraries.

They may need to clear their browser cache too, same as me and that other guy

I'm assuming you are probably running into the same issue as me, is your library a "Mixed Movies & Shows" library type?  All my non-mixed libraries have trickplay but this is what looks to be my main issue

Makes sense, that's usually the red-headed step-child in Jellyfin. 
I already split my libraries by countries/languages and splitting those each into movie and TV sub-libraries would just waste space and effort, especially if you have plenty of franchises that contain both things.

As I said above, I've already tried all the other usual tricks, so this once again might be why a feature is broken.


For the time being, will these changes in each library's options.xml, followed by a re-scan of the libraries work around that problem until the settings visibility is fixed?

Bumping this thread, because another service restart and running the whole battery of rescans and cleanups seems to have rattled something loose after that manual edit of the config XML. 
The job's now running as expected, though I had to disable hardware acceleration (AMD Ryzen CPU with 8 physical cores and a GeForce 3060) to get somewhat usable performance.

Maybe others can trick their Jellyfin install into doing this too. 
In the end, we can wait until the option visibility is finally fixed, as long as the functionality under the hood works.
