    My Jellyfin log says

May 27 06:56:25 media jellyfin[154]: [06:56:25] [ERR] Failed to load assembly /var/lib/jellyfin/plugins/InfuseSync_1.4.2.0/InfuseSync.dll. This error occurs when a plugin references an incompatible version of one of the shared libraries. Disabling plugin

It's a Jellyfin 10.9.3 (server) and 10.9.2 (Web and Build Version) installation (seems to be latest stable update)

When will there be a compatible Infuse Plugin for the 10.9.3 and how can this be a stable release when a basic, basic feature is thrown by the server as "disabled"?

The jellyfin for tvOS (swiftfin) is still a catastrophy and Infuse is the main player for one of the most sold streaming boxes IMHO.

cheers of one of frustrated jellyfin users ...

InfuseSync appears to be a third-party plugin, not developed by the Jellyfin team.

    https://github.com/firecore/InfuseSync

I would raise an issue on their Github rather than here. It also appears this hasn't been updated in more than two years, so they might have not been paying attention to the Jellyfin team's many announcements, calls for testing, more than month-long feature freeze, nightly builds, etc...

https://github.com/firecore/InfuseSync/r...tag/v1.5.0 (but jellyfin does not offer it as alternative in plugins catalog!)

... and jellyfin does not make hints or warnings concerning compatibility issues...

...and there is (in contrast to emby, what is close to jellyfin) no adequate streaming client for apple tvOS than Infuse!

    Update:
for all others who have the same, the InfuseSync.dll 1.5.0.0 is marked as "Active" also in Jellyfin 10.9.3 (server Admin settings)
I edited it manually and after a reboot of the jellyfin server it is set to PlugIn state 1.5.0.0

Glad you were able to find a solution. Infuse is a closed source, proprietary client as far as I know, so there's no way for the Jellyfin dev team to know what breaks something they aren't able to see.

I quoted your first line because...no...Jellyfin is NOT close to Emby. It was forked off from Emby when it went closed source. That was years ago and it has changed massively since then. Comparing the two is like comparing limes and oranges. While both citrus, they're very different fruit.

    ok, thanks for the info.

But at the moment i and (i reckon) others got nerved of the 10.9.x releases because of performance issues missing "performance-look and -feel" of the 10.8.x versions and so on.
Tha lazy search function ... etc.
The InfuseSync "issue" just was the extravagation of the changes between jellyfin 10.8 to 10.9

    Anyway thanks for your help!!

If you are using the newer Direct mode, you don't need the plugin. I've been running like this for a few months now.

You are right, it is possible to switch Library mode OFF so to switch over to direct mode.
And yes Infuse then uses the db of jellyfin instead of building it's own

but there are some features i miss by using this

first to mention the very poor search performance of jellyfin (at the moment - was no problem with the 10.8.x series)
in direct mode searching in Infuse cost same longanimity as in Jelly Desktop Client or Web Client as well.

you loose sorting modes and filters IMHO

    Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, etc.
    Resolution: 4K Material, 1080p, 720p, etc.
Ratings: from TOP films to ....

And that why i think (for the moment) the direct mode is not appropriate to the library mode in Infuse and so why the InfuseSync Plugin still has the edge over the direct mode.

But you are right, when function rate grows up in the future i will check the direct mode again from time to time...

    Hi @jelly55,

Can you please provide more explanation how you manually added the Infusesync 1.5.0.0 version? all that’s available in the Jellyfin stable repository is the older one (I wonder if it will be added soon). I only have experience adding plugins from repositories, never had to manually add.

Ok figured it out. Just downloaded from GitHub, unzipped. Put that .dll file into a new folder named InfuseSync_1.5.0 and dropped that into the plugins directory folder in my Jellyfin config. Restarted jellyfin.
