Issue Since 10.9.x update, the homescreen no longer updates to reflect current watch status. For example: I launch the app and select S1E4 of a Series from "Next Up". When the episode ends and I press the "Back" arrow in the player I return to the homescreen. However, the "Next Up" section still shows S1E4 as the next episode. The episode details page reflects a "watched" status (red checkmark). The issue persists until the app is force closed and relaunched. The issue also affects "Continue Watching" if an episode is ended early.

Server 10.9.7, Ubuntu 24.04 installed from jellyfin repo
Client Android Jellyfin client 2.6.1, using "Integrated Player", installed from google play store. Issue also present using "Web Player". Issue present across multiple devices and Android versions.

    Attempted fixes
    - Clear app cache and data
    - reinstall app
    - restart server
    - reinstall jellyfin (due to a separate issue, but this problem has persisted in the fresh install)
    - searching previous DDG (no results similar to this issue for this version that I found)

Additional information There are no unusual log messages on the server side. I don't know how to access the logs on the client, but there are no error messages displayed.
I don't want to change my sig with every new version. I'm running whatever the currently packaged version for Ubuntu Server 22.04 Smiling-face

Thanks, I've deleted the old ones and restarted jellyfin for good measure. I'll update the thread when I have a chance to test on an affected device!

Thanks again for the link. I've removed the NFO files from 10.8.x (filename.nfo) and left the 10.9.x (movie.nfo) versions as described in the post, rescanned all libraries, cleared app cache but the issue has not resolved. Additionally, Jellyfin is the only application accessing or creating nfo files, as there was mention of that being a possible cause.

Are you using the Trakt plugin?
