I completed an upgrade from linuxmint 21.3 to 22.  So far things look ok except jellyfin.

When I try to play a video I get "Playback error-This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format" with a box that says "got it"

This happens with the web playback and my jellyfin on a tv with roku.

I discovered that I could still play the same videos with celluloid or vlc.  After using these media players jellyfin then played fine until rebooting and then I have the same error until I use
a different media player once and then it's back to normal.

I've can't see anything in settings that appears wrong but I'm not very experienced with all the options.  It just feels like some setting has changed but I'm not sure.

    Any ideas??

Share your full Jellyfin logs via pastebin. And provide your server specs.

I'm sorry but this seems beyond my knowledge. I can't find logs or server specs.

    Thanks anyway.

I used rescuezilla to make an image of the working config, restored it, and it works ok. Pretty stone ax and I don't know what it did but if it works, don't fix it Smiling-face

I discovered that after the Linux Mint upgrade to 22.0 the drive with my videos was not mounted.  After mounting the drive Jellyfin played videos normally.

I think a more meaningful error message would have got me on track more quickly to resolve the problem  Smiling-face Smiling-face
