I just installed Jellyfin with default settings. Should I not be using "localhost"? Is that stopping it from casting to the Chromecast?
I just want to cast my videos from the PC to the TV.

    Jellyfin build 10.9.9
    Windows 11 Home (x64)
    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
    RAM 32 GB
    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

I just ran the Jellyfin demo from the website and I can cast to the TV with Chromecast. But I still cannot cast from my Jellyfin install on my PC. Is there a guide to set it up on PC?
I see in the installation guide this line:
Quote:Open your browser at http://your_local_IP_address:8096 to finish setting up Jellyfin.
I can launch Jellyfin with 192.168.50.***:8096 but now the Chromecast is not available.
Is there a guide to set up the PC with Chromecast support?
    Thank you.

    Windows 11 Home (x64)

I would say yes, it would probably be needed as a network connection from the PC to the ChromeCast is needed.

As I have not tried this setup, I cannot confirm that is the answer, but I believe it's in the ballpark.

Same issue here, the app is not showing the google cast option.

    I wanna share my tests.

I'm using docker, with the version 10.9.10 and 10.9.11 I have the issue. The option google cast not appears. So I have another server with 10.9.6 and it's working fine. They have the same firewall policies and the same network.

I've tried to test downgrading the first server to 10.9.6 and it has the same issue. I don't know if there any option or configuration that it had changed internally when I upgraded the server the first time from 10.9.6 to 10.9.10
