I'm sharing my video library with a friend over the Internet. He can access it just fine, but the video doesn't fill his screen, and the only icon makes it a mini player

Looks like you are using the TVs browser? Is there an option to get rid of the address bar or full screen mode for the browser?
What OS is the TV running? There's an Android TV, Tizen, and WebOS app for Jellyfin.
Jellyfin 10.9.11
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (bare metal) Intel i3 12100 on Asus Prime H610M-E D4 mATX 32GB DDR4-3600 Intel Arc A380 OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB Storage WD Green 3TB (Samba shares) WD Red 3TB CMR (WIP Media, Test libraries) 3x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1 (JF Library) Fractal Meshify 2 Corsair CX430

Apparently his TV's browser doesn't have an option to go full-screen. In the past we used an app called Serviio, which is a DLNA server, but also has online access. When accessing that from his TV's browser, the video itself had an icon to go full-screen, just like a YouTube video.
I asked him to check his TV's app store for Jellyfin before I even gave him the url, but he doesn't have that option. He did tell me Plex is available, but I don't think that helps. |
