I am now finding myself having this issue. It was working perfectly last night, and I woke up unable to play video without getting a black screen, and this is the case on all Jellyfin Media Player clients, on multiple different systems, including the system that is running the server, but clients using the web browser are unaffected. I can also see that my server is transcoding whenever I play a video, in spite of the black screen I get.
Can you detail exactly which folders you targeted so I could maybe do some trial and error without having to redo everything?
