    Hello JellyFin-team,

the content of almost all my libraries in JellyFin is suddenly displayed in “simple folder view”.

The only exception is the music library: There, the entire content of the library is still displayed at a glance, which is very useful for searching and sorting media.

How can I change the visualization of the other libraries so that they show their entire content at a glance again?

I can't find the settings, I'm probably blind again.

    Thanks in advance!
    Celvin238

Can you share some screenshots. I can't think of a setting that would cause ALL of your libraries to only have a folder view.

    Good evening TheDreadPirate,

below the screenshots. The red circle shows the problem with two of the libraries.

The green circle shows how it should be (this is the case with the music library).

On the left side you can see the way to the "simple folder view", named "Hier starten".

Ok. So the previous screenshots were AFTER you've entered the folder view "library". But the show and movie libraries if you enter them from the home screen behave as expected?

No! The sceenshots are from OUTSIDE the folder view "library". Otherwise it would be as expected.

I think a know the answer now: when creating the library, you can select “movies” or “movies and series”.

If you select “movies” everything is done correctly, if you select “movies and series” the problem arises.

This immediately leads to a new question: Is there any way to change this afterwards?

I just finished some testing and the only way I could get what you're seeing is by nesting folders in a mixed library.

No, you cannot change library types after the fact. Additionally, you must either un-nest the folders or add each sub-folder to the library to ensure they are identified correctly.

    Ok...

Does it mean that sub-folders are generally only allowed when they are added to the individual library?
