Because Jellyfin's file name parser is jank and behaves strangely with numbers and special characters. I'm trying to remove that as a variable.

    I see. Yeah, done.

Should I just do this with everything I have on my PC? like, all the shows and movies, and thus test it overtime? like a week or two.
I probably don't even need to backup the folders, I can just rename the files, it's all good.

Did the renaming resolve the issue for this show/season?

Again, I would have to test it for a bit of time.

In the meantime, I've tried to search but no luck.. do you have any detailed docs about the parsing? I've yet to find a detailed correct docs about naming files.

    https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server...nal-files/

I only mentioned removing the year, because our documentation's examples don't include the year in the file names.

We don't have any documentation regarding how the file parser works because, honestly, the file parser hasn't been changed in a long time and it is a nightmare section of code.

I see. I've seen that docs before, but was confused, because it's seem it's mostly talking about films and not much about TV shows.
I guess I'll hope for more information / development on that 😅.

I'll have to test what you suggested on more and more media.
If it's okay, it'll take a bit of time... 😅🙃
Thank you very much for the help!

    Tested more.

Most of the time, it works fine. But, still, quite a few times it doesn't pick up the external subtitles.

Not sure what else to do..
